Wayne D. Zoch

Wayne Dean Zoch was born April 1st, 1958 to Erwin and Lillian (Potthast) Zoch in Deshler, NE. He married Sheri Lugenbeel on August 16th, 1980 in Endicott, NE. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked at the broom factory in Deshler, NE for many years and spent several years building pivots but missed his family so he found employment that allowed him to come home to them every day. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, fixing up houses and working on cars. He passed away April 9th, 2016 at his home in Fairbury.

Survivors are his wife Sheri of Fairbury, sons Jeremy (Elaine) White of Endicott, Justin (Rachel) Zoch, daughter Jessica Zoch (Dale Warren) grandchildren Preston, Trey, Paige & Austin Forney, Malachi James Reinhold White, Melissa Brown (Tyler Trimble), Kody Lenz, Wyatt Lenz, Cameron Danner, Ella Zoch, Megan & Justin Dale Zoch, great-grandchildren Bayleigh May Belding, Leeam & Leevi Forney, brother Norman (Margret) Zoch, sisters Sylvia Dimmer, Linda (Bruce) Pincsak, and Lola (Virgil) Ralston, father-in-law and mother-in-law Jim and Nina Lugenbeel, sisters-in-law Donna (Richard) Stansberry, Lori (Jimmy) Cary, Sheryl McDaniel (Gilbert Beadle), and Rene’ Scheer (Dave Summers), brothers-in-law James (Sharon) Lugenbeel, Kevin (Kelly) Lugenbeel, Kelly (Sandie) David, Chris (Katie) Davis, and John (Tammy) Davis, many nieces and nephews and his special cat, Spazz.

He was preceded in death by his parents Erwin and Lillian Zoch, sister Lori Ann Zoch, brother Martin Zoch, mother-in-law Jean Lugenbeel, brother-in-law Richard Dittmer, sister-in-law Pat Urich, and brother-in-law Mick McDaniel.

Services will be Thursday April 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Chapel in Fairbury with Pastor Brian Julin-McCleary officiating. Memorials will go to the Family’s Choice. A luncheon will take place at the Assembly of God Church in Fairbury. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at a later date. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
