Winifred Melvin

Winifred "Winnie" Melvin, age 89 of Fairbury, passed away on December 9, 2008 in Fairbury. She was born December 11, 1918 at Phillipsburg, Kansas the daughter of Jesse and Erma Wilson Taylor.

Survivors include her step-children Mary Lou Herrstrom and husband Walter, Robert Melvin and wife Myrna, 5 step-grandchildren, 8 step-great-grandchildren, brother Willard Taylor and wife Dixie.

Memorial services will be on Monday, December 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home with Pastor David Lutze officiating. Burial of cremains will follow the memorial service at the Fairbury Cemetery.
